Summer is coming to an end and autumn is knocking at our doors. Pandemic or not, back to school is coming and we have to respond! To simplify a rather unusual reality for many, we thought we’d prepare a detailed shopping list for you to organize the return to school. At your pencils, get set, tick!
Scouring the entire city for specific, impossible-to-find supplies? Not this time! We offer 2 destinations that will cross the boxes off your list in record time!
– Dollarama: an abundance of choice and nothing below $4, it’s quite an excellent
compromise right?
– Uniprix we like the fact of combining the purchase of school items with everyday essentials; notebooks and tissues side by side in the basket, success guaranteed!
Backpack, lunch boxes and shoes: well-chosen accessories are a guarantee of profitability. Don’t forget that these products will grow with your little ones and can be reused endlessly (or almost!)
Our top lunch boxes:
– The essential Bento Box has it all: recycled materials, retro colors and impeccable insulation. To try it is to adopt it!
– The JANSPORT Big Break box will keep your food at the right temperature, thanks to its insulated main compartment. Available from Rubino;
– We swap the traditional bag for diversity with this model from Ardene made of recycled bottles!
SOS backpacks:
– Adjustable straps, check. Side pocket, check. Crunchy patterns, check. The happy trio of Parkland, we are convinced!
– The top-loading Tracker Bag , rugged durability for the studious who carry lots of bulky items;
– Cuir Masman is recognized for offering a wide selection of backpacks, each one more quality than the next.
Putting on shoes remains a priority, but be careful: always favor a light and malleable shoe, allowing fluid movement for little feet. We kill two birds with one stone by buying the necessary for the gym.
WE love:
– Affordable designer surprises found at Winners;
– The easy donning of the hook-and-loop closure of of the Adidas Racer TR 2.0 .
We opt for sportswear with stretchy fabric allowing better ventilation, such as this athletic tank top from Under Armour.
Rain or shine, children will have maximum fun if they are well equipped. Raincoat, rain boots and umbrella, Mother Nature will surely not have the last word!
Our suggestions:
– Durable boots with wicking fabric lining like those from Bogs, sold at Sports Experts;
–Columbia’s breathable membrane raincoat , a classic offered in various colors.
One of the most amusing stages of the new school year is certainly the one where you get new clothes before D-Day. Exit the items that are too small and faded, heading for the fitting room!
Check out our retailers’ promotions just before your shopping trip.
Here is the new mantra to adopt for the return to the cafeteria this year. In order to minimize handling and other risks of contamination, we are taming the trend of cold lunches by acquiring the best books on the subject. We offer you Les lunches de Geneviève or Végane, but not plate T2 , both available at the Librairie Alire.
In case of the unexpected, we choose IGA extra for its delicious counters of varied ready-to-eat meals and its attractive online ordering offer.
Schools, like students, will have to deal with new habits this fall. To ensure concrete safety, we arm ourselves with face coverings and masks at the many retailers that are full of pretty models.
A few more bottles of antibacterial gel and the deal is ketchup!
Our findings:
– 100% eco-friendly products from Yves Rocher , head of plant-based cosmetics;
– The Naturist’s natural hand sanitizer recipe, sweet eucalyptus and lemon fragrance included!
We’re crossing our fingers to avoid a second wave of covid-19, but if it does, why not create a space worthy of the most beautiful magazine pages?
The perfect remote work/school corner includes:
– A work cabinet with integrated storage;
– Adequate lighting ;
– A headset;
– A printer (always check the amount of ink in the cartridge.)
A planned schedule often equals great accomplishments. Put the odds on your side by structuring your agenda as it should.
– We schedule an appointment with the optometrist a few days before the start of classes. Eye health is essential!
– We take the opportunity to drop by our specialists to clean the children’s uniforms, patch the edge of son’s pants or have Mr.’s shoes repaired.
The list is all scribbled, a sign of hard work completed. Since you are ready to surf the new school year, we want to hear from you on our social networks! Share your tips and photos with us, we are curious to discover your finds! Until then, we wish you a great start to the new school year!
