Each season brings its share of new and favourite jeans silhouettes. Whether you’re a fashionista or not, we’ll help you find the perfect pair of jeans that will enhance your figure by sharing a few basic principles with you.
Did you know that flared jeans have made a comeback? That’s right, this 70s staple was seen on the catwalks of several fashion shows. Not quite the same as the classic elephant leg jeans, the 2022 loose-fitting cut is wider down. We like it for its casual look and comfort!
Coloured jeans are also very popular and will brighten up your summer outfits. This season, pastel shades of pink and lilac are in. White jeans are also an essential piece of your wardrobe.
The low-cut jeans, an undisputed trend of the 2000s, are back in force this summer. Of course, this silhouette isn’t the easiest to wear, so make sure it works for you. If you feel a little self-conscious wearing them, match them with a longer top.
The 7/8 jeans are the staple of any casual spring outfit, and they look great with a pair of sneakers or loafers. A simple trick is to roll the hem of your full-length jeans to create cropped style jeans.
Jeans are one of the most versatile garments. Chic or casual, it is a core piece in everyone’s wardrobe. A variety of cuts and styles are available at all price ranges.
Follow stylist Julie Blondin’s VIAXHO™ method to choose the perfect jeans for your figure.
The emphasis should be on the bottom half of your jeans to balance your silhouette. “You should opt for a flared or wide-leg cut. Light colours can also be very interesting to create the desired effect,” says Julie.
To add volume to this slim figure, flared, straight or wide-leg jeans are great. “Dare to wear faded denim and jeans with details,” says our stylist.
“Flared jeans and bootcut jeans are your best friends!” says Julie. Indeed, these cuts are ideal to balance the A-line silhouette. Preferably, opt for dark jeans with little detail.
“Most cuts will suit your silhouette, but low-rise is the way to go,” says our stylist.
“The low-rise and flared jeans are your allies!” says Julie. In fact, these two styles will emphasize your waistline.
Low-rise straight jeans will fit you best. Make sure to choose a dark wash. “To create the perfect look, choose a pair of jeans in a stretchy and solid wash fabric,” adds our stylist.
