Les Studios Éphémères, in collaboration with the Conseil des Arts de Longueuil, present the exhibition by Egide Nshole.

The painter was born in Bozain in the Democratic Republic of Congo. He lived in an environment where signs and symbols were everywhere on chairs, tree trunks, house doors, etc. These signs and symbols were very evident and carried messages in people's daily lives. Nshole's works incorporate these symbols from past tradition into a present, contemporary context.

He graduated in visual arts from the Academy of Fine Arts in Kinshasa and completed his studies at the National Institute of ARTS where he obtained a diploma in cultural animation and development.

He has exhibited in Kinshasa (Congo), Frankfurt (Germany), Montreal and Paris (France).
